Technology Integration - Eliminating errors and solving problems before they start
Technology plays a vital role in eliminating the potential for human error and solving problems before they start. Technology facilitates better, more efficient communication and collaboration on our job sites. It ensures that we’re giving our construction teams the most accurate information possible from before ground-breaking through the completion of the project. Clash Detection Clash Detection is a tool in fixing mistakes before they’re made. Using Clash Detection, we can synthesize all the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing models to make sure that everything fits together correctly. If two different systems have pieces that are running through one another, then we have time to discover cost-effective work- arounds before we’ve broken ground on the project. Procore WEAVERCOOKE believes in a transparent approach to construction, and Procore makes it easy for anyone involved in the project to access the information they need. Procore is an intuitive, cloud-based program that owners, architects, trade contractors and our own team can use as a central hub of communication and document storage. This system lends itself to optimized organization, with all of the project’s latest documents stored in one easy-to- access place. It’s also more effective, providing all the necessary communication and management tools in one centralized location. It increases accountability, too, with every step of the construction process visible at all times to the entire team.
Drones Drones provide a new perspective that can help us monitor quality control and safety practices faster and more effectively. They can also provide in-progress photos to give owners a complete impression of job progress. Total Stations & 3D Laser Scanners Total Stations bring the accuracy of 3D renderings directly to the field. They allow us to check the exact location of any system to be completely certain that the finished product matches the original plan. Total Stations not only improve our accuracy, but they also allow us to pass along that level of certainty to the owner. By taking as-built scans of the systems before they are covered up, the owner can know exactly what is under the slab or behind the drywall of their building.
